Creative Director

Job purpose/ Responsibilities /  Main tasks :

  • Represent the creative potential of the agency.
  • Initiate and supervise the creative/design processes involving the teams of graphic designers, event coordinators, marketers, writers, ...
  • Draw up an action plan, based on the client’s request, and provide the teams with direction for the creative process (web-event-print-campaigns).
  • Instil a sense of creative competition within the agency.
  • Participate in kick-off meetings and debriefings, attended by the client, for projects with a creative component.
  • Develop the creative capacity of the agency by continually analysing the market, trends and competition. Anticipate changes in the market and in client expectations. 
  • Keep an eye out for new communication methods and new talents.
  • Contribute throughout the creative process both at the offer stage and during production, in cooperation with the client and the internal and/or external teams (subcontractors). Be responsible for approving the creative directions taken by the agency and defending these before the client.
  • Continually evaluate the creative/design processes implemented at Tipik, and highlight them in offers and client meetings.

Social interaction

  • Interaction with management, accounts and project managers, the commercial team and production teams (internal + subcontractors)
  • Interaction with the client.

Specific aptitudes / Requirements

  • Professional experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Artistic aptitudes
  • Good people relationships, leadership
  • Knowledge of institutional environments is an added advantage (European Commission, European Parliament or other Belgian, European and international institutions)
  • Languages: English and French.
