Question

Global threats are evolving fast. How can Europe keep pace?

Answer

By fostering innovation to deliver security made in Europe.

“Research and innovation is today, simply speaking, the foundation of every modern security system.” The words from former European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek during his keynote speech at the Security Research Event 2025 captured the essence of what’s at stake for Europe’s future.

Held in Warsaw from 24 to 25 June 2025, the forum brought together industry, policy makers and a broad range of other experts to discuss how EU research can contribute to tackling security threats. In a context of rapid change, two key issues featured high on the agenda:  the role of solutions ‘made in Europe’, and the need to move faster from lab to deployment.

Tipik was tasked by our client DG HOME with the organisation of this crucial event.

We handled key aspects of logistics and communication including

  • Invitations and travel arrangements of speakers
  • Managing participants
  • Handling practical aspects on-site from catering to security
  • Delivering a visual concept
  • Livestreaming the event
  • Producing a video teaser, an after-movie and photo coverage

We also helped customise the trophies for the Security Innovation Award ceremony, shining a spotlight on successful EU-funded security innovation.

In parallel with the conference, Tipik also helped set up an eye-catching exhibition showcasing innovative solutions in over 50 booths, offering plenty of opportunities to network, exchange good practice and draw inspiration.

Coming at a crucial time, the conference brought together over 600 participants and delivered important insights for future action in the field.

As a case in point, a dialogue moderated by Magnus Brunner, Commissioner for Home Affairs, identified concrete ways to address challenges to security industry competitiveness and deliver on the EU’s agenda in this area.

A social listening campaign carried out by Tipik showed that the conversations and news coverage sparked by the event were overwhelmingly positive (60.5 %) to factual (39.5 %). The messages clearly resonated with their audience!
