Question
How do you make sure that 32 teenagers from different cultures spend an unforgettable weekend in Brussels and come away with an idea of how the European Union works?
Answer
Put together a programme that covers dinosaurs, the Parliament and chocolate dinosaurs.
The 32 pupils who claimed their first prize in the Inter-School Competition had done their hard work winning their trip to Brussels: Tipik’s work was just beginning.
The first prize for the ‘Smart Energy Consumer’ Inter-School Competition was two days away in the heart of the European Union. Tipik was tasked with making the visit for the 32 teenagers from Armenia, Lithuania and Croatia memorable, fun and informative – all the more challenging as their trip was in a cold, wet January.
Tipik planned the visit to make sure all tastes were catered for. A dynamic workshop and quiz at the European Commission, a trip to the science museum and, always a winner, a visit to the chocolate museum.
Our team sorted out local travel from schools to airports and the transfers in Brussels. We reserved the accommodation, organised catering, invented a quiz-workshop, and carried out an on-site follow-up of the group.
Runners-up were not forgotten. Our team also sent out 2nd prizes to 16 classes across Europe. The end result? Happy teenagers more engaged than ever with the EU.
