Question

How do you help the EU build stronger partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region?

Answer

Bring together 500 key players in Brussels for a Ministerial Forum

The EU wants to enhance its role as a dependable partner bringing added-value to the increasingly important Indo-Pacific region. This, the third EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum, is part of that strategy.

Tipik’s team brought all their expertise to bear to organise this complex two-day event for Ministers, Heads of State and policymakers at The Square in Brussels.

High security, high impact

Seventy delegations attended the event, coming from the 27 EU countries as well as states in the Indo-Pacific region such as Indonesia and Singapore. Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (HRVP), was in the Chair.

Our team was responsible for:

  • Protocol and security, including welcoming Heads of State and foreign ministers;
  • Registration of sponsored and non-sponsored participants via a new platform developed for the event;
  • Travel and accommodation, including visa assistance for sponsored participants;
  • Logistics across the two days of the event, with a formal dinner;
  • The creation of event communications material, such as a visual identity, promotional video and post-event video explaining the Indo-Pacific Strategy and showcasing the event.

An agile team for politically sensitive events

This event took place against a complex political background. Our team successfully made major changes to event logistics in the run up to the event and organised an additional event, the 24th EU-ASEAN Ministerial meeting, that followed on from the Forum.
